Hope and Strength

Here I am, spending almost 2 weeks in Jamaica at my company's client site. Can't say much as there's nothing much in the city, except that it is dangerous to walk around alone, especially in the dark. That was one of the main concerns of everybody when I was here. Everybody..except the client themselves. After making some disgruntled complaints, someone suggested a cab ride by a driver whom they know. OK Fine. Details...none. No one cares.

So what do I do? Leave work early when it is always possible. No point risking my neck for work like this. Just leave when I feel my work for the day is done. Bugger off these people. Oh yea, it's just a 5 minutes walk from the office to the hotel. But put it this way, even the local won't walk that distance at night. Mind you, the streets are dark too.

Lots of troubles on my mind. However, I keep my hopes up. Always remembering my family and friends back home. Especially my family actually. That gives me the strength to carry on each day on my own. My colleague will only join me next week, but that's only for a short period of 1 week, while I had to spend 5 freaking long weeks here. Definitely didn't have any mood to go out during the weekend. Who the heck cares about the nice place. Don't seem much to me. I prefer to rest in my room, watching the news, movies and whatever comedies which is showing on the tv. For lunch, run the heck out to the nearby shops to take-away some food, and run back to the hotel. No way am I gonna stop. Hahaha ...

Am really looking forward to the last day here where I can leave for home. That gives me hope...and from hope gives me the strength.

People say I am a kill-joy. There's surely something nice here. But then, there isn't. Doesn't seem so..but that doesn't bother me. Yea..that's right. Not bothered. Hahaha....

Looking forward to go home.
Yeah!

Stuck...again

Here I am in Jamaica. For 5 weeks. Seems like a long time. But if you are busy with work, time flies like a rocket.

So darn tired. Not sure why..but the spirit is low.
Maybe I need a change. A good change. Or some booze.

Anyway, I manage to catch the World Cup final and the head-butt. But that's about it. Hoping for better days ahead.

Cheers.

Relaxing weekend

It was a relaxing weekend. Attended a gathering for my friend who will be working in Australia. Or rather migrating there, so there goes another friend leaving the country. Had a good climb on Saturday. The sun was blazing hot. Although it was cooling at times and then .. suddenly the sun comes out and roast you dark.

I watched a bit of the World Cup on national tv. Didn't have Astro so the only available match was Brazil vs France. Man.. the French were technically better and the Brazillians didn't have any chance of weaving their magic. But of course, England once again went out on penalties. A team of stars who never did shine. I don't know.. but the team in 1998 was certainly one of the best. This time, the English team was really a bunch of under-performing players.

Haiya...there goes the English team which I am supporting.

To all my friends who are reading my blog, next weekend is my long long ...and freaking long trip to Jamaica. I tell you...there is just a handful of flights there and they all sux. I will be passing through the US and the customs clearance is really a pain.

Well, get the job done and come home safely. 5 weeks and I will survive brilliantly. Still, I think there's nothing really to look forward to in Jamaica. Guess it's because I am not at the tourist spot.

Cheers.
