Depreciation

Today I renewed my car's insurance policy. Yup. I do it by myself. Why? Because I don't trust runners and of course most importantly, I want to have the policy note in my hands and not kept by the insurance company.

Anyway, my car, which is local made Wira or Wila has depreciated so much. Last year the sum insured was for 40k. Today...it's 26k. Wow..that's some depreciation of 35%. Not sure if that is happening for other makes, but the 2nd hand car market is indeed depressing.

I guess I will use my car for some time. Yes...I am kinda tight on budget and also certain financial priorities are much higher than to get a new car. Guess my car has served me well. And I will certainly take care of my metal baby well.

Darn..it's pouring like just now.

Cheers.

oh bummer!

Packing your stuff and moving out is very difficult. THis was what I realized when I tried to do some packing an hour ago. Yes..it was done at night. Darn. Did you know what... I just realized that since graduating or rather completing my dissertation about nearly 2 years ago, yours truly did not touch any of his MBA notes or anything related to his MBA course. As a result, everything was as it is since the day I completed my dissertation and sent it for binding.

Oh my oH my...what am I to do. I've got piles and piles of notes to be sorted out.

My sister gave a good suggestion. Actually I am taking up a room at my sister's place. Hehe..so it is due time for me to move out. Sister said...get the furniture out first. THen you will have space to do your packing.

Ok. Out goes the cupboard and television table. Gonna call the charity organization to take it away. Out out out...

Man..I've got a big task at hand with this packing.

Knock my head...!!!

Ouch

I hurt my foot today playing tennis. I think I sprained my foot. No, not my ankle..but my foot. Darn..maybe my badminton shoes are not that suitable for a hardcourt surface. Time to think and budget on a new pair of tennis shoes. Darn...need money.

I got my condo management to fix the defect related to my room doors. You see...for some reason only the person who installed the doors would know..the doors don't fit the frame. I thought that doors are the simplest things to do. And they don't fit. So what did the guys do...they chiselled top of the door as it was brushing against the top frame. So so job..but they did chipped part of my door.

SOmetimes I really wonder... fixing defects only creates other defects.
Sigh...but I guess I can diy on it if I am planning to paint the doors again. To hide the chips that is. Well, maybe later ...

I guess I will just have to be more careful with these defects. If I can fix it by myself I certainly will. Hence goes the saying, properties of today and properties of yesterday certainly have a big difference in terms of finishing.

Still, I am grateful to be able to own my own home. Pray that all will go well then.

Cherio.

Making the best out of every situation

You know, I do not look forward to next week. Why? It's job related. I will be undertaking some not-so-nice task. That is customer support. Man..I dread it. Having to entertain client problems...in a technical way. And also having to provide 24-hours support. The assignment period would be like 6-months or so.

I don't know. But what I know is to make the situation as easy for me as possible. Which is to try to make the best of every situation. At least I will be around here..which means I can meet up my friends whenever possible. Prepare my new home. Maybe blog even more. Hahaha...

It's the weekend. I want to enjoy my weekend. One thing is certain. I look forward to the end of the 6-months service period. I remember this saying, roughly ... in every troubled times, there exists ample opportunity. Seize it.

Cheers.
